Hello!
Aug 19, 2024Hi!
I want to start off my sharing about myself. My "home organizing" journey began as a child. Sometimes what is innate to us reveals itself very early. Image this 7 year old girl that spent hours "redesigning" her room. I made up the symbols for doors and windows, which during college I learned I was right on!
As I grew older I also grew more confident, or less patient - hahaha! Very often my mom would wake up in the morning to my bed being on the other side of my room, or my disaster of a closet being 100% cleaned up. "What kind of crazy child do I have?" lol
No, actually my mom was pretty supportive of me and my creative ideas. She was used to me having a strong will and not asking for permission on things like my room, and I was also a good child, and I knew what wasn't allowed.
So there was the beginning. Jump forward. I'm in high school and I have pretty consuming depression. One day I went to a friends house and her bathroom was this electric cantaloupe orange. I was in love! I asked my mom if I could paint my room this color, and she said yes. She helped me paint my room, freaking out the whole time. My glowing gorgeous orange room became a magnet where the entire family would often hang out. Sometimes I even got annoyed!
Not long after the whole house was painted various colors: yellow in the entry way, red in the dining room, blue in my brother's room, we all loved it. And paining my room this cantaloupe orange was a BIG contribution in healing my depression. My passion for "the home" strengthened a good amount. And completed the look of my room with the right and authentic design elements.
After that experience I had a very strong belief that our environment impacts us. And I used "the home" as a tool for may other things, like manifesting and healing.
Jump forward again, I graduated top of my class in Interior Design from SDSU. I was very proud of my degree I (and everyone in my class) worked so hard.
Then I got the travel bug, and did not want "to be stuck" in a 9-5 job, so I traveled the world... for a total of 14 years. Living in Spain, Australia then became a flight attendant. I became obsessed with space saving, versatile and cheap. I made my spaces work for me, while also paying for the life that I wanted (without working too much). All of my adult life, including my flight attendant days I always had a second or third job, either it was taking care of children working on my new passion of personal growth which led me to also begin a hobby business of home organizing.... Jump to now. With my new business name, holistically organized, home organizing is my profession!
For now its a one woman show, and I bring to you my very diverse background, including interior design, travel/small spaces/space maximizing, working with children, all the emotional tools from coaching like deep compassion, no judgement, holding space while also seeing the potential... (the list is very long), and so on.
I look forward to working with you!
